Brief of Speaker:
Prof. Longwu Ye is a Full Professor of Organic Chemistry at Xiamen University. He obtained his B.S. degrees in the Department of Chemistry, Zhejiang University under the supervision of Prof. MA Shengming, and then his PhD degree in Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences with Prof. TANG Yong. Prof. Ye had his postdoctoral training in the Scripps Research Institute with Prof. LIU Cheng & Subhash Sinha and then in the University of California at Santa Barbara with Prof. ZHANG Liming. Since 2012, he became the Full Professor for Organic Chemistry at the Xiamen University. He is the author of many publications in top journals including Acc. Chem. Res., Chem. Rev., Chem. Soc. Rev., Nat. Commun., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Chem. Sci, ACS Catal.
Prof. YE’s research interests mainly include: 1) Organic synthetic methodology: transition metal catalyzed selective control and Diversity-Oriented Synthesis; 2) Total synthesis of functional molecules: synthesis of bioactive molecules, natural products and drugs
