Course Description

Pharmacy related chemical experiment is a basic course for student major in pharmacy, aimed to develop the skills， relevant experimental research and innovation capability of student.
By experiments, the students master the basic experimental methods, use the equipment correctly and accurately to capture the experimental data, so that students have the ability to the record correctly, process data and express the experimental results. Through integrated assistants experiment, students can be familiar with scientific research process, preliminary master professional literature databases, query data, master the innovative approaches, have a certain ability to innovate, analyze problems, solve problem.

1. Research work: Artemether preparation from artemisinin, introducing the general principles of drug synthesis and experimental requirements, understanding the requirements and application of ketone reduction and one-pot method.
2. Identification, inspection and content determination of artemisinin and its derivatives
3. Preparation and dissolution test of Artemether tablets, grasp the general wet granulation process, master usage of single-punch tablet machine, grasp suppository preparation (aspirin suppositories, clotrimazole suppositories), understand the dissolution test method requirements and the specific operation in Chinese Pharmacopoeia for tablet, understand the preparation method.
